The Surly Martyrs are a genre-stretching band that moves between Alt rock, Indie, and blues/jazz, with a hint of high-powered Americana. The idea for the band formed at Gallery Cabaret in Chicago and The Outta Space in Berwyn, Illinois. It has since made its way to State College, Pennsylvania.

We are currently booking Fall and Winter of ’26. (There are some late summer dates still available.
